Hi op how’s the response of this doorbell? How many second between button press and notification? Does the video feed show up on any device like a Google home hub max?

    • I am curious too. My Tapo camera in the garage is INSTANT with notifications to iOS so that gives me hope.

    • @Franck P tagging you for notification, hoping you respond to my previous comment. Thanks.

  • OP's link was out of stock shortly after posting: http://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0DHZ1W5G6

However there seems to be another listing on Amazon for the exact same item which is in stock: http://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0DKX8YGLC

I'll update the OP, can't see any differences.

You can also grab a Bluetooth 5.3 adapter here for an extra $1.41. Or 2 of these doorbells for $174.60 ($87.30ea).

Thanks for the update and 2x purchase = 10% off, was about to get the bluetooth adapter but already have one, so got the Tapo 5m LED strip for like $12 so half price basically. Cheers!

  • how is this mounted? Tape or Drilling holes all over the place?

    • Both in box

  • This? or the Tapo D230S1?

The latter has slightly bigger and removable battery and has 5MP vs 3MP.

Get the 5MP model D230S1. Much better. Removable battery is great. I bought a replacement battery for $40 and just swap it when it's flat.

    • Got a link for that? How is it mounted?

I mounted mine into a brick wall as it comes with a couple of small screws.

        • Right so I can't just tape it? Not good with screws and drilling holes to bricks

          $97 vs $169 is a big ask

          • @neonlight: Yes, you could use some strong double sided tape.
But honestly it's really easy. Comes with a template to show where to drill and what size drill bit.

Looks like the lowest was 119.00 according to camelcamelcamel but that's Dec 2023….

$50 more is a big hike i will wait

    • I'll wait for that then.. cheers!

  • Just FYI, and I can't confirm with this particular device, but if you're planning on using this with Alexa, the Tapo skill has been quite unreliable as of late.
Reports of users having to re-pair with the skill every day/week or not being able to pair at all. Would avoid Tapo if Alexa is a core part of your smart home.
    YMMV.
